MAC Viva Glam Gaga
Posted by Chantzy at 9:56 AMWith my unending search of my HG foundie, I go to the cosmetics counter and I got tempted just by looking at these pretty products. We'll yesterday I decided to get my Clinique moisturizer at Nordstrom and ended up buying Viva Glam Gaga and MAC blush in Springsheen. Actually this is my first MAC lipstick, I've been wanting to get this shade but I just ended up killing my lemming for expensive stuff, in short I have discipline before than I do now LOL. But seriously I know the difference of high end versus drug store products. You can tell the difference just by the sample they give me at the cosmetic counters. I'm really happy because the Nordstrom people where I live are super nice, they give me good amount of sample here and there, weather you buy or not.
I've been swatching this baby many times at the cosmetic counter and I love love the color. I don't need to tell the detail of this lippie as I am 3 years late in addiction of MAC. Except I don't like lady gaga!
Above image without watermark is from Musing of a Muse pic, which describe a better look of it. Let's see if this would be my favorite lipstick, I need to try it out for a week yet, wearing at work today though :)

L'oreal Infallible Never Fail Lip Gloss In Undeniable Mauve
Posted by Chantzy at 11:09 AMFrom the Loreal website:
Infallible Lip gloss has a hydrating formula that keeps lips soft, smooth, colorful and glossy for six shining hours. The patented petite Couer applicator contours lips precisely giving you a smooth, even flawless finish every time. Available in a range of 16 sheer luminous shades that stay true without changing, fading or dulling. Use it together with Infallible never fail makeup for a perfectly polished long-lasting look. No top coats. No feathering. No fading.
Weight: .21 F oz/6.3ml
Price: $10
Where to buy: any drugstore
I was looking for like a light purple shade of lipstick but I couldn't find any in the drugstore, most of them are too dark for my skin tone. Since its winter I've been liking lip gloss or lip balm to sooth my dry lips lately. I was disappointed at one point because I can't wear lipstick even on summer. My lips are too dry until I found the EOS lip balm and then the NYC lip gliders which is my staple lip product I use everyday. It made my lips way moisturize that is why I'm into hunt for some good lippies now.
PROS:
long lasting as it claims
light weight consistency
sheer but buildable
non-greasy
no funky smell
doesn't fade
it glides easily and doesn't look dirty on the lips
CONS: nothing I can think of
I love the applicator, so much easier to apply, seems like you can get most out of the product in one application.
with flash
in natural light
I am so in love with the color. I would definitely buy some more shades!

Elf Nail Polish in PLUM
Posted by Chantzy at 12:14 PM
(with flash)
Today's nail polish is PLUM from ELF. I don't know why lately I am hooked to some dark red shade so I was digging my nail polish collection and painted my nails today before work. This is 3 coat because I want to emphasize on the deep red color. You can do 2 coat its fine.

With Flash or natural, I love the color. As usual I always use the Sally Hansen Dries Instantly, I've been using this since the Seche Vite is not working as when you first open it. With this I can use it until the last drop plus its cheaper, half the price.
Do you like it?

2010 Most Used Products
Posted by Chantzy at 11:18 AM Though I was idle for quite sometime in blogging, it doesn't mean that I'm not into make up anymore. I do the grocery shopping all the time at home so I always see what's new in store, well its because I use drugstore makeup only other than couple of MAC items I have. Anyhoo, for 2010 I used so much of these products and it means its my favorite right? Lets start with my foundation I use everyday and until now.
I use MAC Studio Fix Fluid everyday until I found an alternative which is Revlon PhotoReady. I want to save the MAC as much as I can so I use the Photoready everyday at work. I use the Golden Beige and Medium Beige for my skin tone it doesn't make a difference to me. Not shimmery as others claim it. The studio fix fluid is too dark on my skin tone during summer but now its winter I can actually use it and by the way its in NC40 shade, I don't know why it should be the other way around.
After applying a thin layer of liquid foundie, I dab it off with Maybelline Dream Matte Powder and its in Medium 2-2.5 shade. I use it everyday and its my second pan, I need to buy some more, when I am on rush I just use it with brush and blend it all around my face, works fine for me.
For my concealer Nyx comes the best. The Concealer in a jar works best for me, covers up pretty much everything blemishes and under eye area. I bought several concealer according to reviews but I end up going back to this jar. I got it in TAN shade. Drug store eyeshadow base Loreal Decrease works fine, staying power is 4 hours but the eyeshadow still there except my outer corner color is not define anymore until when I get home from 8 hour shift. There's bunch of eyeshadow primer now coming out from drug store brand so I will try some more products.
For my highlighter, when I ran out of my MAC MSF I tried Physician Formula in Light Bronze Pearl and works the same, can't even tell the difference! I'm sure I'm gonna buy again, almost done with it also haha.

For eye shadow, I've been using this a lot! The Nyx 10 eye shadow palette on their Runway Collection in Secret World is a daily eye shadow for me. I used it a lot last Fall. They are pigmented, easy to blend and mix and match the colors for me. I have the other 2 palette but this is my favorite. For a neutral look, I like the Physician Formula Baked Collection in Baked Sands, pigmented, can be use wet or dry, its the go eye shadow for me when I can't think of colors to blend. I love purple and I have the Revlon ColorStay 12 hour eye shadow in 20 Sunrise Sunset, its a good buy for the color pay off is awesome. Lastly, I have the Maybelline Eyestudio in Khaki Craze, beautiful color for me, 2 colors, dark green and a mix of golden and and green tint in it, the shimmers are light not too bold. I'm a sucker of eye shadow so you'll probably see me blogging about them most of the time :)
I think I need to end with this one, facial moisturizer, cleanser, makeup remover will be in another post.
Thanks for taking time to read. Have a good day!
